Jim Herrmann is leaving the RAIDERS TIROL after two years as Head Coach of the ELF team. He took over the team in October 2023 and has boosted the team’s development with his years of NFL experience.

Jim Herrman on his farewell: “At the conclusion of our 2025 season, my second season here in Innsbruck I have decided it is time to retire from coaching in the European League of Football and the RAIDERS TIROL. My goal when I came to Innsbruck two years ago was to help grow the game of football in Europe and with the great staffs that I was able to put together here we certainly accomplished that. I want to thank everyone involved with the organization, especially the players, for all their hard work they have put into this team. RAIDERS TIROL is one of the top franchises in all of Europe and I am so grateful that I was able to be a part of it these past two years”

Before joining the RAIDERS Tirol, Herrmann worked as linebacker coach for the New York Jets, the New York Giants and the Indianapolis Colts, all well-known clubs in the NFL. With the New York Giants he won the Super Bowl, the most valued trophy in football. Both the RAIDERS Tirol players and the entire club benefited from his expertise.
“We thank Jim for his work and commitment over the past two years. He led our team professionally and with his wealth of experience, he was able to provide valuable input for the entire organization,” says Ulz Däuber, General Manager Football.
“We are currently evaluating the situation and will start interviewing potential successors shortly. We will provide further information as soon as a new Head Coach has been chosen. Nonetheless, the club board has made its intentions explicit that the RAIDERS TIROL will compete at highest European football level in the upcoming season,” Ulz Däuber forecasting about the future direction of the RAIDERS TIROL.

Jim Herrmann verlässt die RAIDERS Tirol nach zwei Jahren als Head Coach des ELF Teams. Er hatte das Team im Oktober 2023 übernommen und die Entwicklung des Teams mit seiner langjährigen NFL-Erfahrung gefördert.

Jim Herrmann zu seinem Abschied: „Am Ende der Saison 2025, meiner zweiten Saison in Innsbruck, habe ich entschieden, dass es an der Zeit ist, mich vom Coaching in der European League of Football und den RAIDERS Tirol zurückzuziehen. Als ich vor zwei Jahren nach Innsbruck kam, war es mein Ziel, Football in Europa voranzubringen. Mit dem großartigen Team, das ich hier zusammenstellen konnte, haben wir das sicherlich erreicht. Ich möchte mich bei allen Beteiligten bedanken, insbesonders bei den Spielern, für ihre harte Arbeit, die sie in dieses Team gesteckt haben. Die RAIDERS Tirol sind eines der besten Franchises in Europa und ich bin sehr dankbar, dass ich in den letzten beiden Jahren ein Teil davon sein durfte.“

Herrmann war vor seiner Zeit bei den RAIDERS Tirol als Linebacker Coach unter anderem bei den New York Jets, den New York Giants – mit denen er die Super Bowl gewann – und den Indianapolis Colts in der NFL tätig. Von dieser Expertise profitierten sowohl die Spieler der RAIDERS Tirol als auch der gesamte Verein.

Jedenfalls hat der Vorstand des Vereins entschieden, dass die RAIDERS Tirol auch in der kommenden Saison wieder ein Team auf der höchsten europäischen Football-Ebene stellen werden.“, gibt Ulz Däuber einen Ausblick in die Zukunft der RAIDERS Tirol.
